Although alternative energy sources and electric vehicles continue to make progress, the US economy still needs gasoline to fuel our vehicles and oil to heat our homes. Americans also like to buy those munchies, slurpies and other fine comestibles that C-Stores sell. This stock yields 11.29%. It's down -25% this quarter. Analyst price targets have risen more than 30% for it since Q1 '21. Q2 '20 was an outlier, but the market punished the stock for lower Q2 '21 earnings.
Global Partners LP (GLP) was founded in 2005 and is based in Waltham, Massachusetts. It's one of the largest fuel distributors in the New England area, selling via retail and wholesale divisions. It's also involved in the transportation of petroleum products and renewable fuels through rail from the mid-continent region of the United States and Canada, and has a rail and waterborne terminal on the West Coast, in Oregon.
