This company makes a compelling value proposition based on valuation, risk/reward, yield, and upside potential. I added this hotel REIT last week to my high-yield income portfolio. An investment in the stock yields 11.0 percent.
I added Ashford Hospitality Trust, Inc. (AHT) to my high-yield income portfolio last week because I think that the share price has fallen too far too fast in 2018, and that the hotel REIT is ripe for a rebound after guiding for dividend sustainability in 2019. Ashford Hospitality Trust has recovery potential and makes a compelling investment proposition for income investors in terms of valuation, risk/reward, yield, and upside potential. Shares sell for a very low run rate AFFO multiple, and an investment in AHT comes with a covered dividend yield of 11.0 percent.
