The company has been a mainstay in IBD's REIT Leaders screen, which is home to many of the top dividend stocks. The real estate investment trust paid a dividend of 62 cents a share on April 16. That gives it a lofty annualized yield of 7.8%.
The best dividend stocks don't always come with big dividend yields, but Blackstone Mortgage Trust (BMXT) has one. The company originates senior loans collateralized by commercial real estate in North America and Europe. After a series of sales declines in the second half of 2016 and first half of 2017, sales growth has accelerated for three straight quarters, from 14% to 26% to 31%.
